ShieldBot took part in the Built4People (B4P) Projects Clustering Event, which began on 6 October 2026 with the CINEA Cluster Meeting. Iker Mancisidor Aizpurua from IDEKO Research Center, the organisation coordinating our project, represented ShieldBot. He joined fellow projects from the Tech4EUConstruction cluster: DTERBIM, RADIANCE and RoboCons.

The first day was a meeting where the new projects that started at the end of 2025 were presented to the other projects within B4P. The aim was to find how to collaborate between projects with different themes that share the B4P framework. Participants also held a short brainstorming session on how they see the future of the construction sector and what the community should focus on to improve it.
The second day was the B4P Stakeholders Forum, which brought together a much wider audience that was not limited to project coordinators. The talks covered key aspects of construction today, including resilience, digitalisation and the adoption of new technologies such as robotics. The discussions avoided technical language, which made the forum a valuable opportunity to hear the views of people working in the sector.
It was a valuable opportunity to connect with other EU-funded initiatives, exchange ideas, explore collaboration and learn more about future funding opportunities and calls for proposals.” Iker Mancisidor Aizpurua, Technical manager at IDEKO Research Center and ShieldBot Project Coordinator.
By strengthening collaboration across projects, ShieldBot and its fellow initiatives aim to accelerate innovation towards a more sustainable, resilient and efficient built environment in Europe.
